Our Story
How It Began
VIP Help Me was created the same way many great ideas are, out of necessity. In the early 2000s, Managing Members Brian Carney and Trish Carney were both working demanding, high-level corporate careers. When they were actually able to contribute substantively, it was highly rewarding. The problem was those times were few and far between.
After spending one too many meetings in a room full of colleagues arguing about the proper parts of speech on a PowerPoint presentation, they commiserated. “There has to be a better way to do this – to get work done now – without all the overhead and waste.” VIP Help Me became the solution.
In 2006, VIP Help Me was born – founded on the key principles: that work-life balance is paramount, that work that can be done remotely should be done remotely, that adding cost does not equate to adding value, that hard work should be rewarded, and that savings in cost, time, and energy can be shared by all those involved.

Trish L. Carney
Managing Member
Background and Experience
Trish earned her J.D. in the top of her class at the Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada. A strong advocate of continuing education, Trish has completed her LLM in Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management at Loyola Law School in Chicago with a special emphasis on compliance issues in the health care industry. Trish ultimately plans to pursue a Doctorate in Juridical Science.
Trish has over 30 years of experience in the legal, insurance, finance, and corporate industries. Prior to co-creating VIP Help Me in 2006, Trish first held positions as in-house counsel for several national insurance companies, then was recruited as corporate compliance counsel and senior audit officer for a Fortune 50 company, working directly with the board of directors, key senior executives, and outside counsel. In these positions Trish was able to hone her astute analytical skills, add to her deep knowledge base, and refine her exceptional professional standards.
VIP Help Me Role
Trish is responsible for Client Relations, Paralegal Oversight, Work Product Processes, Quality Assurance, and Legal functions within VIP Help Me. In addition, Trish maintains her own book of clients for advanced areas within her expertise including Audit, Compliance, Finance, Insurance Defense, Government Contracting, Medical Malpractice Defense, including defense of health care professionals and facilities including licensing, regulatory, and privacy issues. Trish also provides pro bono work for social justice causes.
Brian A. Carney
Managing Member
Background and Experience
Brian has over 30 years of experience in the legal, medical, and corporate industries. Prior to co-creating VIP Help Me in 2006, Brian held upper management positions at Fortune 100 companies, working directly with in-house counsel, marketing, accounting, and human resource departments. In those roles, Brian was instrumental in creating new processes and procedures that improved efficiency and increased productivity within those departments.
VIP Help Me Role
Brian is responsible for overseeing the Marketing and Accounting functions within VIP Help Me. Brian also provides pro bono work for social justice causes.

We are not a staffing agency, temporary agency, or recruiter. We provide immediate paralegal and litigation support without the delay or down time that is usually associated with using staffing agencies.
CAN I TRUST YOU WITH MY PROJECT?
Yes! Always! Although we understand the concerns clients may have when work is done remotely, clients can rest assured that we handle each and every project with the utmost care, security, and confidentiality.
DO YOU SERVE THE GENERAL PUBLIC?
Unfortunately, no. Our virtual paralegal and litigation support services are not offered to the general public. We are not licensed attorneys and do not practice law nor give legal advice.
